Vision Quest circa 2005
A 21-day journey in the Sacred Valley of the Andes became a defining rite of passage.
Guided by indigenous shamans, I sought spiritual purpose and clarity. What unfolded
was a network of connections aligning with a precise and meaningful moment. It moved
beyond coincidence. It felt like destiny.
The Gift
The journey brought intense physical and mental challenges. Each trial shaped me into
a vision keeper, someone meant to inspire others on their own path. I learned to move
between worlds and connect deeply with Pacha Mama, or Mother Earth. That connection
required release. I had to let go of everything to hear a clear message rooted in
compassion and forgiveness: “Tell my sons I have already forgiven you. All I ask is
that you return home.” Nothing surpasses a mother’s love.
The Vision
At first, I believed the journey itself was the vision. I was mistaken. On the flight
home, seated by the window and looking out across endless clouds, I reflected on every
step, every mountain, every shared moment. Then something shifted.
A channel opened. A vision formed with clarity and intention. Yumaste emerged.
Emotion followed. Tears came as the idea expanded beyond imagination. Yumaste revealed
itself as more than a concept. It is a way of living. A conscious practice of choosing
presence, energy and awareness. It is not about food. It is about how we experience life.
In any moment we receive something we define as good. Yumaste is that declaration. It
calls forth a state of joy and alignment in real time. It gives language to an
experience and brings it fully into existence.
Simple methods on how to restore joy and happiness in their everyday life. It is a practice that will cause the humanity to thrive. It is a global community that will become a way of life.
